SESSION 6: Clay

Imagen
Berlinde De Bruyckere "The body is relative" She was born in Ghent in 1964. In 1986 she went to the art school (St-Lucas Gent). Themes such as: Decay, vulnerability an loneliness, human bodies, horses, cripplewood (she like to collect wood and she puts a lot of details in their works). She wants to put poetry in their compositions. This is very simple to create by clay. Not simple, but it becomes so ambiguous that you can do crazy things like those and even more with games like this. - Person in front of the classroom gets a word that s/he will mime. Then the rest of the student have to create this figure with clay. This is good for a lot of things: To can be able to work and to create with clay, to review the things we have already seen in class..., you can focus this activity in many ways. Dragon  A mix And also without looking we can make amazing things in group with the imagination. The above one is...

SESSION 4: Belgian comicbooks

Nello and Patrasche: Who are nello and patrasche? They are two good Dutch friends, protagonists of a series acclimated in Antwerp, and seen by million of Japanese. How important has it been in Belgium? For thanks to this, Antwerp has been in a very touristy place for the Japanese, without the Belgians only knew. Therefore, in Antwerp has had to honor this child who get his greatest desire with so much passion, and ended up dying. I have to say that before arriving here, I only knew the famous Tin Tin belonging to Belgium. However I discovered that one of my favorite animated cartoons that I saw as a child is also from here, and it is Marsupilami. Without belittling to Tin Tin, to say that I have read each and every one of its comics. And what can I say about Marsupilami? I enjoyed watching it, seeing how he always got into trouble and solved his problems so easily. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7MoJG8GJQ Leaving aside my memori...

SESSION 3: Flemish masters

What an adventure to go there (to the MSK Museum), we got into another museum, the one opposite. I have always liked flamenco painting because in Spain we have enough that we can visit.  Replication of Van Eyeck's work Cornelius Gijsbrechts Emile Claus Jenny Montigny James Ensor  Here if you pay attention you can see that the artist play with the shadows, I was very shocked about this. He or She makes a drawing with objects that have nothing to do.

SESSION 2: Digital storymaking

Imagen
As a future teacher we have to know how to motivate children to start a story. Today in class we have been able to experience some of these resources in our flesh, and also how to use technology to attract more the attention of the children.  In my case, I made a movie where the story is told, and within it I use different application.  The story is the following: The change  "Once upon a time there was a man who worked like an actor in Milán. He was very famous because in his last performance he won an award. He was a tall man not the most beautiful man in the city but he was not ugly. He was married with a beautiful blond girl. They had two children and they were a very happy family. He used to be surrounded by family´s memories like his parent´s old pictures, his wife sculpture and old furniture from his last stage play… Suddenly everything had changing. When he came back home after acting in London his wife had put all of his things (clothes, memories...

SESSION 1: Dragons

Imagen
As an  erasmus student during this semester in ghent, one of our goal is to know more about where we are and to learn how it works everything in there.  And what better way to start than by dragons of Ghent? The goal for us in art class is to know different resources to techa the children and different ways to instilling personal expression. Something important is that we can create with materials from any side, there are no limits. And this is what we have done.  Here you can see my process and my dragon finished with his companions to protect the university and is that the dragons in Ghent were in charge of that. Process Final Dragon Dragon army We can also teach children how to create a dragon with paper, but in my pinion this would take away their imagination. Even so, here I leave some resources so that you can use them in your classrooms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rCwwbqwTS4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUsxMXwCW...
